Initial consultation

All prospective recipients participate in an initial consultation that usually lasts two hours or less. During this consultation, prospective recipients are interviewed to determine their needs before they see donor profiles. The process of finding and selecting an egg donor is explained in detail, as is the schedule and cost. Once their needs have been established and their preliminary questions have been answered, prospective recipients are shown donor profiles and photographs. Ruth Tavor personally reviews with the recipients information about any donors of interest, giving any personal insights and observations she gleaned from the donor's interviews.

   



Showing donor information to prospective recipients

Donor and recipient information is held in confidence by NY LifeSpring LLC and is treated as private, not public, information. To ensure that donor profiles and photos are released only to serious and responsible prospective recipients who are interested in a specific donor, we do not post donor information or photos on our web site. Instead, recipients participate in an initial consultation, during which they are interviewed to determine their needs, and the process of finding and selecting an egg donor is explained in detail. Only once their needs have been established and their preliminary questions have been answered are prospective recipients shown donor profiles and photographs. Donor availability in a dynamic donor pool

The donor pool at NY LifeSpring LLC is quite dynamic. At any one time there are newly available donors, donors who are currently in a screening or cycle, donors who have just completed a cycle, and donors who are traveling but have indicated they would like to return to donate, either on a specific date or when they are matched as a donor. Because of this dynamic and complex flow, and because many of the donors are traveling from Israel on temporary visas, time is an unavoidable restriction on matching and availability. For recipients who wish to be shown a donor or donors exclusively for their consideration over a long decision-making period, NY LifeSpring LLC may not be the appropriate agency.

     At the initial consultation, recipients are shown pictures of donors who are immediately available and, if they choose, pictures of donors who are currently at some point in the donation process or who have indicated a willingness to participate in another cycle. Recipients are told the status of each donor and they are given a copy of the 4-page profile for any donors who interest them.

     In order to give all recipients an equal opportunity to select a donor, we email photos of new donor(s) to all appropriate recipients at the same time. We do not attempt to guess which donors will be of more interest to which recipients except in response to clear parameters provided by the recipients, such as a specific hair color, blood type, height, etc.

   



Face-to-face meetings

NY LifeSpring LLC does not allow direct meetings between donors and recipients. Recipients should not engage NY LifeSpring LLC's services with the intent of finding a donor who will meet them face-to-face.

   



Methods of payment

We accept cash, checks and wire transfers. For wire transfers, bank charges should be added to any amount being transferred. We do not accept credit cards at this time.

   



Cycle terminated for medical reasons

When a donor has begun taking her injections but cannot complete the donation process for medical reasons, NY LifeSpring LLC will continue to look for a suitable donor for no additional agency fee.
